CFS is very knowledgeable with the traditional plan and spec new construction and renovation industry. Our project management works to identify the critical details that can often be overlooked. We have proven to be a successful partner for contractors by providing proactive communication and coordination that helps projects progress and close out in a successful manner. When issues arise, CFS is willing to offer information, support, solutions and direction that helps provide resolution. With this highly competitive industry, owners, contractors and these projects can’t afford an automation contractor that doesn’t offer reasonable pricing and the experience to quickly bring projects to a successful completion.
Recent Projects:
After successfully completing a challenging upgrade of Fairfield Medical Center’s chiller plant and automation system, CFS was awarded the HVAC controls installation of FMC’s new $37.8 million facility expansion which was part of Project BRIGHT. This project has a mechanical HVAC design that reflects the mission critical nature of the facility, and the control system design and installation will be integral to the overall success of the project. This new facility will feature a new surgery department, 30 private patient rooms, 10 spacious operating rooms that will allow for advanced surgical technology, including robotic equipment, and a variety of clinical support spaces. The new facility will mean better healthcare delivery for the residents they serve in Fairfield County and Southeastern Ohio.
In January 2013, Memorial Hospital opened the Heart & Surgical Pavilion. The pavilion creates a single-location center of excellence for cardiac and peripheral vascular care. Also wrapped into the project is Memorial’s focus on the expansion of endoscopy and surgical services. CFS was involved throughout the project to provide a technology platform that assisted in the success of the project. The platform included custom animated graphics and a 3D floorplan interface that was developed for web-based access along with an iPad tablet interface. Although there were challenges throughout this project, CFS was there to support and assist all parties to help bring the project to a successful close. Since the opening, CFS has continued to provide remote monitoring and ongoing service with the facilities staff to ensure the customer, clinical staff and patients are satisfied and the HVAC system is performing in a manner that meets and also exceeds expectations.
Central Ohio Urology – Center of Excellence – Gahanna, OH
When it came time for the Central Ohio Urology Group to build a brand new surgery center and administrative facility, they chose the CFS team to perform the project. We were able to install an automation and temperature control system in their state of the art facility which includes outpatient surgery operations and other services at an $8.5 million, 40,000-square-foot building located in Gahanna, OH.
The facility included integration of packaged rooftop units and control of humidifiers and terminal units to serve various parts of the building. In addition, in the Surgery Center portion of the building, CFS manages the humidity and temperature control in the Operating and Procedure rooms to very tight tolerances. To aid the surgery staff, we provide weekly automated reports to the owner to provide all the necessary documentation they need for their medical certifications. We also provide email support of any critical alarms that occur in their facility, notifying key personnel of an issue in the facility within seconds of it occurring.
